Board of DirectorsPAE is run by an enthusiastic, dedicated volunteer board
Board Chair, Operations Director
Sherry has served as the costume designer or producer for multiple PAE shows and has worked with various companies and schools in the Portland area, most notably Northwest Classical Theatre Company and Circle Theatre. In addition to her theatrical experience, Sherry was involved in a number of non-profit endeavors and non-governmental organizations including event organization for Familia Salud and corporate liaison for the Loreto Vietnam-Australia Program. Sherry served as costume designer, wardrobe manager, board member and producer for Lyric Theater of San Jose for many years prior to relocating to the land of Shakespeare and still holds a particular fondness for the Gilbert and Sullivan lexicon.
After preforming as Dorcus/ Lady over the summer in The Winter’s Tale, Laine Wagner is excited to joining the Board of Portland Actors Ensemble. In 2015 she received her BFA in acting/design and tech from the University of Rhode Island. Directly after undergrad she went on the road with Missoula Children’s Theatre where she preformed and directed in over 40 states and spent 6 glorious months in British Columbia. In Portland she has been lucky enough to work on interesting array of film and theatre projects. She can also be found teaching Shakespeare at Vision8 Studios and educating children at Northwest Children’s Theatre.
Board Member, Access Coordinator
Krista also serves as Access Coordinator, arranging both ASL interpretation and Audio-description for our performances and promoting those events to appropriate groups. Krista is also a dragon boat racer and a loving mom.
Board member, Administrative and Development Director
Jill has enjoyed our shows with her family for many years and comes to us with a background in fundraising and development. Currently the Director of Development at CODA, Inc., Jill previously served as Director of Foundation & Corporate Relations at Concordia University. Linking positive social change to the power of words carries into her work, whether she’s fundraising, advocating for education, or capturing a client’s story.
