Michael Streeter as the Bard/MC for the Gala
Hi everyone! Hope you’re enjoying Shakespeare’s birthday–we at Portland Actors Ensemble certainly are. (Okay, it’s a few days after THE day, or as close as we can figure, but since it’s such a biggie, why don’t we celebrate all year?? Works for me!) A few of us from the PAE Board of Directors, our illustrious AD, Friends of PAE, as well as several past and current cast members and other lovers of the Bard headed out to Portland Center Stage last Saturday for the Gala kickoff of The Complete Works Project.
What is the Complete Works Project?
In case you haven’t heard about this, it’s a collaborative project in which all of Shakespeare’s plays, sonnets and poems will be performed by Portland theatres, artistic and academic communities over the next two years, running from Shakespeare’s birth through to his date of death. The project is already underway, and several local theatres, including Portland Actors Ensemble, will be taking part. Here are some photo highlights of PAE people making the scene at the Gala:

Whatever could Jeremy Lillie and Michael Godsey be conspiring about?
Sarah Jane Fridlich, Michael Streeter, and K.J. McElrath catch up with each other

Were you at the Gala? I’d love to hear about it down in the comments, so feel free to stop by and say hi!
Till next time,
Take pains; be perfect; adieu!Athena McElrath is an actor and singer who is also an Administrative Board member with Portland Actor’s Ensemble.
