On Saturday, May 3rd, Portland Actors Ensemble held a Kid’s Audition at Concordia University’s Fine Arts Building. This summer, our touring production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will feature several youngsters aged six to sixteen in the roles of Titania’s fairies–Peaseblossom, Cobweb, Moth and Mustardseed. Multiple children will be cast in each role, so we need a lot of kids to take part!
Our wonderful director, Douglas Lay, gave an overview of what the play and the roles would be like, and went over the rehearsal and performance schedule.
Producer Patrick J. Cox watches the auditions.
Then Douglas got the kids up on their feet and the fun began with theatre games:
Both parents and kids had a good time!
PAE will be having another round of Kid’s Auditions on Sunday, May 25th, 2pm at Concordia University’s Fine Arts Building, so if you missed the first one, here is your chance to come out and audition for us–we’d love to see you there! Look for an announcement with more details on our website, Facebook, and Twitter very soon.
Were you at the auditions, or do you have any questions about our upcoming auditions? I’d love to hear about it down in the comments, so feel free to stop by and say hi!
Till next time,
